The best of our journey through Malaysia was finding the Sunset Beach Resort. This place is not only clean, beautiful and in a lovely location... it also boasts the friendliest and most helpful staff that I have ever encountered. This is our 8th visit to Langkawi and I am so disappointed it's taken us till now to discover this place. It's a beautiful place, lovely garden, lovely & clean, bug-free rooms, lovely beach and probably one of the best places on the island to watch the sun go down. The best part about the resort though is the staff who know & remember your name from the minute you arrive. Ida, Mas & Sarah are friendly, helpful and always smiling. The staff who do breakfast are sweet as well. Many thanks to all the staff at Sunset Beach for making you stay such a happy one. Very sorry to be going home.

This must be the only restaurant in the world where the food is so incredibly good, but the first thing visitors tell their friends when they get home is "You should see the toilets". My husband is a professional toilet inspector, a job he has been practising for 35 years. He gives you the following toilet rating:

This is a truly fabulous place. It has style as well as substance. I had already heard of the Chocolate Lave Cake and the toilets before I came here! The food is fantastic, imaginative presentation but keeping a very simple Malay and Western taste that relies on fresh, local ingredients, cooked intelligently and presented in a creative, modern way. I loved the Satay Fish and the Chocolate Lava Cake did not disappoint. Service is A-class – friendly, attentive – everything any diner could wish for. I only wish there were similar places in London too! Congrats to everyone here for a very tasty and enjoyable restaurant!

Thank you for the wonderful unique fine dining experience, we popped in for dessert last night and were so enchanted by the modern décor and atmosphere of the restaurant, we returned to experience a 3-course meal today, much to our pleasure. All courses were expertly created by an excellent chef, and their service from the girls was great. We particularly love the décor, the toilets are second to none and the Banofee dessert is divine! We will definitely be returning to Sunsutra and recommending it to other guests. Wishing you all the very best.
